Designing Harmony

Welcome to Designing Lifestyle...the blog of Joya Jewelry Designs as seen on www.joyajewelrydesigns.etsy.com

Today's thought for your consideration:
Can we design more harmony in our lives with a better understanding of personality or energy types?

    I believe we can.
Perhaps you have been exposed to the Myers-Brigg  Type Indicator, a test that attempts to identify personality factors which then may be used to make suggestions for everything from career choices to whom might be a good match for one to marry. It is just one of many other such personality tests and theories, many of which can now be taken or explored online.

This past year I have come to understand personality types in a different light. I have been reading and learning about a system called Energy Profiling, in a book and online course, presented by Carol Tuttle, author of It's Just My Nature.

As noted on her website, "Energy Profiling is a new and unique profiling system that extends far beyond personality profiling. Energy Profiling brings a new level of accuracy by analyzing body language, physical features, thought and feeling processes, gifts and talents, in addition to personality behaviors."
Ms. Tuttle discusses very unusual, yet practical, indicators that we can quickly and easily use to better understand our selves and others; indicators such as how various energy types tend to sit or stand or walk, our hands and facial features, even how various energy types "doodle" and more.
Such knowledge has become a powerful tool I find I can use to quickly assess the energy type of individuals with whom I am interacting.  Understanding Energy Profiling has helped me
  • communicate more effectively with people of different "energy types"
  • have a better idea of what to expect from others in terms of how they may act or react in given situations
  • be less critical and more tolerant of human differences
thereby creating more harmony in all my relationships be they personal, familial, or at work and in the community.
